 Alcohol and drug addictions affect people in every community including
Athens-Clarke County. Substance abuse has a ripple effect throughout our society and affects people's family lives, their ability to work and stay in school, their ability to contribute their talents and skills to our community.
I am happy to welcome you to the RecoveryAthens.org website and thank the social work students at UGA who are reaching out with hope and resources to those in Athens-Clarke County who are battling substance abuse.
It is my sincere hope that all citizens are able to realize their full potential and, in so doing, create happy and meaningful lives for themselves.
